Michael
Shultz has won numerous awards regionally and nationally in
his professional career. Most recently he & his wife, Lila,
won 5th Place in the Open Professional American Smooth
Division at the Heart of America DanceSport Championships.
They won 1st Place in the
Professional Division at the 2008 Nebraska Invitational Ballroom
Championships, and 1st Place in Professional Rising Star Smooth at the
2006 Yuletide Ball Championship.
In 2006, they were finalists
in both the Pro Rising Star at The Ohio Star Ball and World
Professional American Smooth Rising Star. Along with winning
numerous Top Teacher awards across the United States, Michael has placed
and won in the following categories: Professional Novice, Pre Champ, Rising
Star, Open Professional in American Smooth, International Standard
and American Rhythm.
Michael has won Top Teacher
and Top Studio at many events throughout the U.S. Most recently, he & Lila
helped Walters Dance Center win Top Studio (Out of State) at the 2008
Nebraska Invitational Ballroom Championships. He enjoys helping his students
learn, and to prepare for Pro/Am competition. Michael is a certified
teacher at the Gold level and a member of USISTD and NDCA.
